Wish upon a star

Hi everyone out there, this is the first time I have been able to post a blog for ages, so I am a bit out of practice. Anyway, I hope you like the card i have made for Friday Sketchers. I am very excited because I made the flowers myself with the help of the "Fred She Said" dowmload, and I am really pleased with the result. I used my new Copic pens to colour in the image and also for the flowers, I think it's brilliant that the colour goes through to both sides, so that when you crimp the flower petal the underside is coloured also, WOW!!! Drop me a comment if you like the card also I would appreciate any hints and tips you have. Love to all, Lesley

I hope to be up and runing again and ready for more challanges. Hope you like the card, leave a comment please.

Papertake

I haven't managed to take part in the Papertake Challange for a few weeks now so I really enjoyed making this card. I always like to work with the sketches that Dawny P does. I hope you like the card please leave a comment if you visit. Best wishes, Lesley.
The backing paper I used was was from the Pixie Dreams CD, the embossed paper was washed damask from Pink Petticoat and the image I googled "fairies", and this one came up. How nice is that.

Cute Card Thursday

This was such a nice sketch to work from, I really enjoyed putting this card together. It was the first time I have used any of my Holly & Madison images, I also found some hologram card that I think was about one of the first things that I bought off of a Craft Channel and have never really found any great use for, but I think it looks OK on this card. Hope you like it, Happy Mothers Day, Lesley

Cakes and Corners

The weather has been so glorious that I felt guilty being indoors crafting, so I had to take the time and mow the lawns for the first time. I hate it when it looks so unkept, anyway now it's really pretty outside and I am happy to be inside looking out as the sun has now gone behind the clouds. This is my small effort for two challanges, Sketch Saturday with the rounded corners, I'm sorry to say that I only have a small corner punch, I was looking at a larger on the other day, wish now I had bought it. The second challange for this card is The Secret Crafters Have your cake and eat it. Can't seem to get away from pink at the moment. I used Pink petticoat papers from the Sweet Cupcake set my ucttlebug embossing folder, sorry dont know the name and the fairy is from Joanna Sheen's Wild Rose collection. Please leave a comment if you like the card. Best wishes for mothers day, Lesley

Two In One

At last I have managed to make one card for two challanges, Friday Sketchers and Stamp Something. I had great fun making them, I used my new Peerless Design CD "Pixie Dreams" I'm never really sure of CDs as to how much good content there is in them, but I must say that there is loads in this one; can't wait to get the Fairy one.
I have even done an insert and envelope, that was soooo easy. Hope you like the card, please leave a comment, it's always nice to hear from all of you out there. Best wishes Lesley.

Sketch Saturday
I have had such fun today making this card. I have wanted to use a background for some while but couldn't really get my head around it, well finally I have. I hope you like it.
I choose the colouring from the ribbon; the picture doesn't really do it any justice it is such a delicate blend of pink and mocha.

I used the coloured in image from Girl About Town for the background, but I coloured Juliet in myself using some pencils. The shooes in the window are from Pink Petticoat, Lola's Boudoir and the paper are also from. PP and of course Swiss Dots Cittlebug
Please leave a comment, I really love to hear what you have to say. Best wishes, Lesley

Saturday Challange

Oh lucky me! I just thought I would check out Saturday's Challange and the theme was masking, so the card that I had made for Geoff'f 64th birthday was just right as I had to mask away the little bear around the 6. Sorry it's a bit of a naff picture but I think you get the jist of it. Please leave a comment, I really appreciate them. Best wishes, Lesley
no time no time
I'm really upset that I have had no time to blog for the past week or so. My poor old man has been in hospital for a replacement, replacement hip; so I have been running to and fro from Medway. At last he is home andnoe I'm running to and fro from kitchen to bedroom to lounge etc. Can't wait for things to get back to normal so I have some time to make cards, I think I'm going into some kind of remission or whatever it;'s called. Determine to do a couple of challanges this week thoug.

Papertake "set"

I am so pleased that the candle and card I made for my friends 60th has matched the challange for this weeks papertake. I want thank Zoe Robson for publishing the instructions for the candle on the Pink Petticoat blog, it took me a couple of attemps to get it right but I am really pleased with the result. I used a PP image from the Lola Occassions set and the papers are from the new Sweet Sundea set. I hope you like it, please leave a comment if you do. Best wishes, Lesley

You may be wondering why I have two cards for the Willow Sketchie Challange, well as you maybe can tell, I am getting older and also in my youth I was a blonde, so I have just had a geriatric blonde moment or may two. Will try to do better in future. Love Lesley

Cute Card Thursday

Thank you to everyone who has posted a comment on my blog, I really appreciate your king remarks. Life has been a bit hectic in my househole this week. My brother ans sister in law have come for a visit (they live in France), they stay with my mother who lucky lives just next door to me. But the electricity went down for 24 hours on Monday so I had everyone in mine. Mother had to stay the night as it was too cold for her to go home, so all in all it's been a jolly time. My neighbour is about to have an op for a hernia so I made this card hoping that it will do for the Cute Card Thursday Challange as it has two metal brads. The image I double embossed but I think there must have been some specks in the embossing powder, that is what the marks are. It's a complete change from the usual cards that I do. I used the Crafters Companion mens CD and the stamp from their Men's unmounted rubber stamp collection. I think I like girly cards best. Post a comment for me, thanks

it's not raining
Oh! I am so glad that at last it has stopped raining. Yesterday was such a grey day. I had a phone call from my sister in law who lives in Geneva, Switzerland she called to tell me that she was sitting on her patio drinking a coffee in the sunshine. Wish some of that sunshine would come here. I'm looking for some more card challanges on the net; I think this blogging and challanges could take over my life, it really is easy to become addicted. If you drop by please leave a comment:

pheww!!

Well it's now Sunday afternoon, I have been so carried away with taking a picture that wouldn't come out as well as I had hoped that I completely forgot to make my mothers lunch so I am now an hour behind with everything, I expect that means that we won't eat dinner until late. Hey ho!!
Well I think I have a picture for the Saturday Challange, thanks very much to Gill I am now hoping that I can upload it and get it to where it's suppose to be. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed here we go.
As you can now see I have uploaded it, I am praying that my pictures will get better as time goes by. I am now going to try to link it to the Saturday Challange site. Wish me luck!
